I've been working on an interesting furniture project - a console table in the French country trestle style. Our client is looking for something distinctive to sit in a hall space, with clean lines and in a hardwood, but not oak.
We settled on walnut for the timber and a new rendering of what is already an unusual design to produce what we think will be a unique piece of furniture. It's good to be working with walnut again; a wood of great beauty, its distinctive charcoal-like tone is quite different from oak and is a more than worthy alternative.
Thank you to our friends at English Woodlands Timber for their usual help and care with the timber selection.
